This page is under construction

We are planning to scan our photographs so you can see our faces on this page. Maybe, in due course, we will also inform you of the names of our wives, children and pets, as well as our hobbies, eating habits and other intimate details (and while we're at it, why don't we have a "favourite models" page?). For the moment, you will have to make do with our names and some very basic additional information.

The Flowmap team consists of:

Tom de Jong, Faculty of Geographical Sciences, Utrecht University. Tom is the original author and designer of Flowmap. Most of the modules were programmed by him.

Jan Ritsema van Eck, Faculty of Geographical Sciences, Utrecht University. Jan programmed the distance table creation and accessibility analysis modules. He also maintains this web site and is responsible for the first line user support..

Han Floor, Faculty of Geographical Sciences, Utrecht University. Han is the project supervisor, the principle beta tester and editor-in-chief of the manuals.

Other people who have earned a place in the Flowmap Hall of Fame (in alfabetical order):

Victoria Alkema-Backer, Alkema en Backer Vertaalbureau in Oosterhout, the Netherlands. She translated the new sections of the manual for 6.3 to English. In the process, she also debugged the Dutch-language version.

Wendy Bohte, student at the Faculty of Geographical Sciences in Utrecht, the Netherlands. She wrote the new sections of the manual for 6.3, spotting a number of bugs and other problems with the new version (since then, there aren't any left of course!).

Roland Goetgeluk, then a member of the Faculty of Geographical Sciences in Utrecht, the Netherlands. One of the first Flowmap users and beta testers, and our first PR-manager.

Ralph Maartens, Transportek, Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) in Stellenbosch, South-Africa. Ralph revised the Dutch-language manual and translated it to English. Furthermore, this web site was designed and constructed by him.

Reggie Sibasa, Transportek, Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) in Pretoria, South Africa. Reggie did the conversion from DOS to Windows. Most windows were designed and programmed by him.

Laurens Zwakhals, National Institute of Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) in Bilthoven, the Netherlands. Laurens wrote the Dutch-language manual. In the process, he also intensively beta-tested the first Windows version.
